Here we are going to explore the oldest national park in India and it is none other than the Corbett National Park. It was established in 1936 and was renamed after the famous naturalist as well as hunter Jim Corbett in 1957. It is located in middle hills of the Himalayas. It is renowned as the 'Roar, Trumpet and Song' for its high density of elephants, tigers and amazing collection of birds.

Ultramarine Flycatcher, Great Hornbill, Mustached Warbler, Goldcrest, Green-backed Tit, Bright-headed Cisticola and Chestnut bellied Nuthatch are a few of the most beautiful birds found in Jim Corbett National Park. Moreover, 20 species of owl are also there in the park and Mountain Hawk Owl, Tawny Fish Owl, Grass Owl and Brown Fish Owl are some of those.


The national park presents both peninsular as well as Himalayan flora and fauna. The forest has mostly the tropical trees like Sal, Segun etc.
