Pushkar is a blend of Hindu religion and civilization, rural Rajsthan and beautiful scenic beauty. It is located at about 11 km from Ajmer in the district of Rajsthan. It is also known for one of the most prehistoric yet holly cities in India. Pushkar is also known as the king of pilgrimages or “tirth raj”. It is also known for one of the five sacred Dhams in India.

Pushkar has a great legend behind the formation of the Lake and Lord Brahma. The best time to visit this holy land is during early September till March. The temperature during this time is quite pleasant thus making the trip memorable and magnificent. The Pushkar fair which is normally held during the months of November is a major attraction especially on the full moon day where devotees take a dip in the holy water of Pushkar. During the summer months, Pushkar has a very severe climate with cold nights and hot days. The maximum temperature in the summers can rise up to 45 C and can go to 10 C during the winters.
